Sunset Cottage is surrounded by fields, yet close to the road so one has easy access to the fantastic scenery, villages and coasts nearby. Or leave the car on the drive and take advantage of the numerous circuitous short- and long-distance walks and bridleways to truly appreciate the dramatic landscape of the glaciated valley of Newtondale and its surrounding Tabular hills. One can take advantage of way-marked walks and even catch the historic North Yorkshire Moors train back to Levisham Station from Goathland (or "Heartbeat" as it is known in the famous TV series), Newtondale Halt or Pickering.

The spacious Lounge benefits from the luxury of a traditional log fire for cosy evenings, with TV, dvd, video, hi-fi and upmarket furniture and furnishings to complete the picture.

The luxury Bathroom has an electric shower over the bath, a constant supply of piping hot water and grab rails to assist the disabled.

Every conceivable luxury time-saving appliance has been discreetly installed in the well-planned, hygienic Kitchen-Diner. Microwave oven, dishwasher, washer-dryer (both with detergents), spacious fridge-freezer, extractor fan and automatic built-in ovens. French doors on to the patio access a fantastic southerly view as you dine in a draught-free, ambient environment.

The deluxe Bed has pure cotton sheets and a view into the paddock where horses are often grazing.

• Sunset Cottage is maintained and scrupulously cleaned to a very high standard, so you can rest assured that a hygienic and pleasant environment awaits you.
• With its own central heating system under your control, you are sure to achieve the degree of warmth you like at no extra cost.
• All cooking and heating costs are included in the very reasonable charge for the hire of the Cottage, so you can accurately budget your holiday and free yourselves from the worry of feeding meters.
• Also included in the price is ALL Bedding, Linen and Towels, so you can really travel light - just bring yourselves, your clothes and food.
• The enclosed garden and private shed offer Garden Furniture, Barbeque, Bike Store and Off-Road Parking for two vehicles.

The helpful Owner lives next door and has a telephone for emergencies.
 Supermarket in Pickering (5 miles).
Pub with food in village (half a mile).

• OUR LOCATION
• We are five miles north of Pickering.
• To reach us follow the Historic Railway sign off the A170 at Pickering's only traffic lights.
• Pass through the village of Newton upon Rawcliffe.
• SUNSET COTTAGE is a white property, half a mile after the village, on the right-hand side, adjacent to the road and through a field gate.

To reduce the risk of your being stuck in traffic queues, Sunset Cottage is let Friday to Friday.
Please arrive after 3 p.m. and leave by 10 a.m.
Terms include a 25% deposit with the booking; the remainder is due eight weeks before arrival.
